Tour de Hoot 2009 Video
The second annual Tour
de Hoot bicycle tour was held in McGehee on Saturday, May 30, 2009. This
year a total of 122 riders from 4 states participated to raise money for the
McGehee Boys and Girls club. The rest stops were awesome with
delicious snacks. A great time was had by all. Special thanks
to Jordan Robinson for preparing this video! And a big thank you to
everyone who helped make the ride such a great success! Plans are already
underway for next year's "Hoot".

Farmers’ Market – Several
area residents are currently serving on a Committee to
form the McGehee Farmers’ Market. Committee members
are: Linda Clary; Mayor Jack May; Robert Moore; Carolyn
Blissett; Doc Bilberry; Jane Lucky; Bob Ware; J.W.
Lehman; Wes Kirkpatrick; Lynn Bliss; and, Eugene
Gilliam. Approximately a dozen potential vendors have
expressed interest. Items that would potentially be
available for purchase at the downtown Farmers’ market
include vegetables, herbs, flowers, art and crafts.
