The McGehee-Desha County
Hospital is a general acute care hospital with
thirty-four beds. There are 180 more beds in a
twenty-five mile radius. The hospital in McGehee has
eight cardiac monitor beds, four monitoring beds in the
intensive care care unit, special respiratory and
physical therapy equipment, full diagnostic services and
laboratory and imaging. Full psychiatric and drug rehab
services are available through Delta Counseling
Associates. Southeast Arkansas Home Health Agencies,
affiliated with the hospital, services five counties in
Southeast Arkansas. The Home Health Agency is accredited
by JCHO.
Leisure Lodge is a 140 bed skilled-care facility with a
full schedule of daily activities. The Tracy Scott
Memorial Physical Therapy unit is a recent addition to
the nursing home facility.
There are three doctors, a dentists, four pharmacists
and an optometrist in the immediate area. |
