McGehee Chamber of Commerce Contact Persons

Agricultural agencies include the Desha County Extension office, a part of the University of Arkansas, and federal agencies of the Soil Conservation Service and the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service.

McGehee has a City Council/Mayor form of government. City government is housed in the Municipal Building.

The Municipal Building also houses the State Revenue Office, McGehee Water Department, McGehee Ambulance Service and McGehee Chamber of Commerce.

Social Services and the Desha County Health Office are located on First Street as well as the American Legion building.

Also in McGehee are the State Highway Department offices, SEArk Community Action,

McGehee Municipal Court

Veteran's and Youth services, a Government-funded Day Care Center, and a Desha County Court Building.
